Undip for Sustainability
Diponegoro University (Undip) is committed to sustainability, embedding its principles into teaching, research, and operations to address global challenges such as climate change and social equality.

The ratio of building area to total area is 91.67%. Forest vegetation is 37.24%, water absorption is 22.03%, plant vegetation is 31.16%, and road area is 1.24%.
Undip has implemented 97.78% water conservation initiatives across campus, significantly reducing water use and supporting sustainable groundwater supply.
Total Renewable Energy production is 46,085 kWh which comes from Hydropower, Solar Panels, Wind Power, Integrated Heat Cooling, Biogas, and Biodiesel.
The shuttle service provided by Undip consists of 12 units and the total number of trips per shuttle service per day is 80, there are 4 buses in operation.
Over 95% of the waste generated at Diponegoro University is recycled. Organic waste is treated at 100% and inorganic waste at 98.7%.
Undip offers 9,689 courses, 8,658 of which are sustainability-related (89.22%). There are 4,661 sustainability-related publications.
Sustainability Commit
The Sustainability Committee at Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP) is committed to, promoting and implementing sustainability principles across all university activities, encompassing environmental, social, and economic aspects.
The committee plays a crucial role in formulating and overseeing policies and initiatives related to sustainability, ensuring that UNDIP contributes to the achievement of national international Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
