Semarang, September 24, 2025 — The International Conference on Chemical and Material Engineering (ICCME) 2025 in conjunction with the International Symposium on Applied Chemistry (ISAC) 2025 wrapped up its dynamic second day of discussions and knowledge exchange. Held in celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the Chemical Engineering Department, Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), the event successfully brought together a global array of experts, researchers, and industry practitioners.

Supported by the SDGs Center UNDIP and SIG (PT Semen Indonesia), the conference took place at the Faculty of Engineering Dean Building, attracting distinguished guests, including Prof. Dr. Ir. Aprilina Purbasari, Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, and Prof. Roni Maryana, Acting Head of the Molecular Chemistry Research Center, BRIN, alongside influential keynote and invited speakers from around the world.

The day kicked off with a compelling morning keynote session featuring Prof. Ir. Didi Dwi Anggoro and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Roshafima. Moderated by Dr. Asep Muhamad Samsudin, the discussion captivated both in-person attendees and those joining virtually via Zoom, fostering a lively exchange of ideas.

Following a break, the second keynote session continued the momentum. Prof. Roni Maryana and Prof. Kamal Kishore Pant (joining virtually from India) shared their insights, with Prof. Dr. Andri Cahyo Kumoro moderating. This session further underscored the critical role of innovation and international collaboration in advancing chemical and material engineering research.

After a lunch break, the conference moved into parallel sessions across three rooms:

  • Room C (5th Floor): Nanotechnology and Surface Engineering; Biomaterials and Bioprocesses, moderated by Abdurohman Zakki, featuring invited speaker Prof. Vimal Chandra Srivastava.
  • Room B (4th Floor): Innovation in Chemical Engineering; Circular Economy and Environmental Impact, moderated by Melati Septiyanti, featuring invited speaker Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Ruzinah Isha.
  • Room A (3rd Floor): Advanced Materials and Sustainable Technology, moderated by Shalahudin Nur Ayyubi, featuring invited speaker Prof. Dr. Ir. Aprilina Purbasari, S.T., M.T., IPM.

In each room, invited speakers delivered insightful presentations followed by sessions where registered presenters showcased their research across diverse themes. The parallel sessions encouraged vibrant academic exchanges, highlighting new approaches and practical solutions to global challenges.

The second day concluded at 17:00 with closing remarks, marking the successful end of ICCME–ISAC 2025. The conference not only provided a platform for scientific advancement but also reinforced the commitment of Universitas Diponegoro and its partners, including the SDGs Center UNDIP, to sustainability, innovation, and global collaboration in addressing pressing issues in chemical and material engineering.
