Demak, June 9, 2025 — The 2025 SDGs-Themed Community Service Program (KKN-T SDGs) by Diponegoro University has entered its 7th week out of a total of 9 weeks of implementation. During this week, all participating students, along with their supervising lecturers and local communities, took part in a flagship program: Mangrove Seedling Using Environmentally Friendly Technology, conducted simultaneously across the coastal areas of Demak Regency.
This initiative is part of a major program within KKN-T SDGs 2025, aimed at supporting coastal area rehabilitation through sustainable and participatory approaches. Through this activity, students not only apply the knowledge gained in the classroom, but also contribute to raising public awareness about the importance of preserving coastal ecosystems.

Active community involvement is a key factor in the success of this program. The presence of supervising lecturers in the field provides technical guidance while also strengthening the synergy between students and local residents.
This program is expected to offer a long-term solution to address coastal abrasion and environmental degradation in the Demak coastal region. With a spirit of collaboration and environmental concern, the activity serves as a concrete demonstration of Diponegoro University’s commitment to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in protecting terrestrial and marine ecosystems. It also exemplifies the integration of higher education with community service that has a direct impact on the environment and the well-being of coastal communities.
