Semarang, Central Java – March 16, 2024, marked the 13th anniversary of Himawari, an organization that has supported the spirit of Diponegoro University’s Japanese Language and Culture students across generations. Since its establishment in 2011, Himawari has achieved many milestones and created beautiful memories along the way, although the journey to this point has not been without challenges.

To commemorate this important milestone and strengthen the bonds among its members, the 13th Himawari no Tanjoubi celebration was held at the Multipurpose Building of the Faculty of Humanities (FIB). The event was attended by the Himawari Simbion 2024 administrators, Sensei-gata, and active students of the Japanese Language and Culture Study Program.

The celebration began with the opening remarks, followed by speeches from the Supervisor of Himawari Simbion 2024, Ichlasul Ayyub S.S., M.Si, and the President of Himawari Simbion 2024, Arsyafa’at, who shared messages, reflections, and hopes for the future of Himawari. The Head of the Japanese Language and Culture Study Program, Zaki Ainul Fadli, S.S., M.Hum, also delivered a video message, highlighting Himawari’s ambitions and ideals of remaining the best organization in the Faculty of Humanities with numerous achievements.

The event was further enlivened by performances such as the Kurabu Harukaze Odori and a talent show featuring contributions from each Himawari field. This 13th anniversary celebration was not only a time for celebration, but also a valuable moment for reflection, strengthening relationships, and inspiring its members. Himawari hopes to continue to grow as an organization that fosters mutual development among its members, with a shared vision for the future.
